Plan your path to Financial Independence — without a spreadsheet
GetReadyFIRE projects your net worth year by year from the numbers you already track, so you can see whether your FIRE or retirement plan actually adds up.
Built for UK FIRE, by UK FIRE enthusiasts
GetReadyFIRE is built around the accounts and vocabulary UK FIRE planners actually use — ISAs, workplace pensions, SIPPs — not retrofitted from a US retirement calculator. We're planning our own FIRE journey with GetReadyFIRE too, which is exactly why it exists: we wanted the tool we couldn't find.
Tax-wrapper modeling keeps deepening — today this means UK-first templates and terminology, not a finished National Insurance/ISA-aware tax engine. That part is still being built.
Built for two, not just one
Tag each asset, income, or expense as yours, your partner's, or joint, and see one shared picture of where you both stand — no merging spreadsheets or guessing whose number is whose.
Want your partner to see the plan without sharing a login? Invite them as a read-only guest instead — they see the numbers, only you can change them.
Your whole financial picture, projected forward
Net worth, FIRE progress, and how your plans compare against each other — all in one dashboard, projected year by year from the assets, liabilities, income and expenses you already track.
Stress-test your plan, don't just guess
Monte Carlo simulation runs your plan against thousands of market scenarios, so you see a real range of outcomes — not one hopeful number. Know your plan's confidence level, not just its average case.
A library of life events, not a blank sheet
Buying a property, a career change, nursery costs, business equity — pick a scenario from the Smart Templates library and GetReadyFIRE builds the plan items for you, ready to adjust.
Your numbers, your business
A financial plan is personal. Here's exactly what that means in practice:
Just an email address
Creating an account only needs an email — no name, address, or phone number.
No bank login, ever
GetReadyFIRE never connects to your bank or brokerage. You type in what you own and owe — that's the only source of truth.
Encrypted, never sold
Your data is encrypted at rest and never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Yours to delete
Permanently delete your account and everything in it, any time, no questions asked.
Who it's for
Self-serve planners — solo or as a couple — working toward FIRE, who've outgrown a spreadsheet's ability to model interlinked events and growth. GetReadyFIRE isn't a tidier spreadsheet — it's purpose-built for the job, not a service that manages your money or tells you what to buy.
Rare even among dedicated FIRE tools:
- Models what you'll actually spend each year, not a flat withdrawal rate.
- Expenses flex up or down each year based on what you can afford, not a fixed number for life.
- A milestone (like retiring) can trigger the moment your assets hit a target — one that grows with inflation, not a static guess.
GetReadyFIRE is a planning calculator, not financial, investment, or tax advice. It projects the numbers you give it — it doesn't evaluate suitability or recommend specific products. Always verify independently or speak to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
